Noriyuki Haga started as he needs to today in the first free practice session in the final round of the 2009 World Superbike Championship at Portimao, Portugal. Haga was 2nd fastest in the opening session less than 1/10th behind fast qualifier Jacob Smrz also on a Ducati.
