The Ducati Monstersedici predates the creation of Ducati News Today debuting at the the inaugural Indy MotoGP in 2008. Essentially a Ducati 996 engine in a Monster 696 chassis, the limited edition special fulfills the role of über Monster in a way the new for 2011 Monster 1100EVO never can.

Trikes are clearly stuck in the middle. Neither motorcycles nor cars, depending on your perspective they incorporate the best or the worst features of both. The TreMoto Monstrosity on the other hand couples Ducati power with two front wheels that lean and a rear that slides around like a flat tracker. Sound intriguing?
Ducati is claiming that their new for 2011 Ducati Monster 1100EVO is the Ultimate Monster but how do I put this……they’re wrong.
Ducati has not made a large fuss about the new for 2011, Ducati Monster 1100EVO presumably because they don’t want to detract from the unveiling of the barrier pushing Diavel Power Cruiser. If you’re a Monster fan though, there is a lot to like about the first 100bhp Ducati 2-valver.
The EICMA content from Milan seems to be coming thick and fast today and well ahead fot eh official releases. This top of the range Ducati Monster 1100EVO brings an older S4R look to the new Monster range and replacing the 1100S model with a true 100bhp air-cooled twin for the first time.
