Andrea Dovizioso saved the best for last today in qualifying at Le Mans, setting a time of 1:33.603 on his final lap that vaulted him onto the front row of the starting grid for tomorrow’s French Grand Prix at a circuit where Ducati has traditionally run well.

Fresh off of last weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix and Monday’s post-race test at Jerez, Ducati Team riders Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden were back on track Wednesday and Thursday, this time at Mugello.
Fresh off of a long race weekend at the Circuito de Jerez, Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden remained in Spain today for an official IRTA test, where they joined the other MotoGP racers for another warm day of riding on a hot track.
The Spanish Grand Prix proved challenging for Ducati Team riders Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso.
In a hot qualifying session during which traction was scarce and crashes were common, Ducati Team riders Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso kept their Desmosedici GP13 machines upright and finished with the seventh and ninth-best times, respectively, putting them at opposite ends of the third row for tomorrow’s Spanish Grand Prix.
Having begun the year with a pair of “flyaway” races, in the Middle East and the United States, the Ducati Team now travels to the first European round of the year, in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
Weather conditions were perfect for the debut MotoGP race at Austin, Texas’s Circuit of the Americas, where Ducati Team riders Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden crossed the finish line in seventh and ninth places, respectively.
