The factory Ducati World Superbike squad have concluded 2 days of testing at Mugello ahead of this weekend’s German Round of the series at Nurburgring. The test was mostly used to shake the cobwebs out after the month long summer break.

Team Xerox Ducati kicked off their 2010 World Superbike Championship title chase at the 2nd fastest circuit of the series, Phillip Island in Australia. Both Michel Fabrizio and Noriyuki Haga stood on the podium but it was first time pole sitter Leon Haslam who took his maiden victory on the Alstare Suzuki GSX-R1000.
New Althea Ducati hire, Carlos Checa posted the fastest time during the first day of official testing for the 2010 World Superbike Championship season at Phillip Island, Australia, site of next week’s opening round.
