Although the World Superbike racing was a débâcle in Monza, the FIM Superstock 1000 race was worth watching for Ducati fans as it saw the first victory for the Ducati 1199 Panigale in the hands of Lorenzo Savadori.

After just two races, Althea Ducati today announced that they are putting an end to their FIM Supersport campaign with Federico Sandi. Both races were red flagged meaning that neither Sandi nor the Ducati 1199 Panigale had a complete opportunity to show their true potential.

A red flag interrupted FIM Superstock 1000 race in Imola, Italy over the weekend proved to be a successful debut on the World stage for the Ducati 1199 Panigale which took pole position and finished on the podium.

There have been no shortage of Ducati 1199 Panigale photos as you can see for yourself with our Panigale Launch photo gallery and a selection of 1199 wallpapers. One photo you couldn’t see however was the radical new bike with the aluminum monocoque ‘frame’ without its bodywork. Now that’s changed.
