We have written before about the business bomb that was the Ducati 999 which was rapidly replaced with the highly successful 1098/1198 series of Superbikes. There is one area however where the 999 range reigns supreme. Surprisingly it is in racing.

5 months after a horrific crash during practice for the Kyalami, South Africa round of the World Superbike Championship, Régis Laconi was back on a Ducati once again for a couple of demonstration laps at last weekend’s Magny Cours round in France.
