Take a look at this Ducati 900SS. Now look again. Notice something strange about the bodywork? Now you’ve got it. This Ducati has a Suzuki fairing and side panels. Welcome to the Ducati RGV900.
It might be the most unlikeliest of ideas. Who would think of putting bodywork from a Japanese two-stroke pocket rocket on a Ducati? Well obviously at least one person. It might be nuts but the result to our eyes actually looks pretty good.
The Suzuki RGV250 might have been a two-stroke but it was also a 90º V-twin and the fact that this is the only thing they share in common is probably the only reason that the slim bodywork actually fits. The tail section has also been donated from the stroker.
The effect is pretty attractive and this particular machine, which is for sale, sounds great with its carbon pipes breathing through a K&N filter feeding Mikuni carbs. Take a listen for yourself.
So what do you think? Love it or hate it?
