Some photos are starting to leak out from Sepang, Malaysia just hours ahead of the first 2012 pre-season MotoGP test and the debut of the all new Ducati GP12 factory racer hurriedly designed and assembled over the winter break for riders Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden.

Ducati Desmosedici GP12 First Shots of the New Ducati GP12? [UPDATED]

Various sources are declaring these photos to be of the new bike but since Ducati has brought 6 bikes to Malaysia (GP11.1 first seen at Assen but with a 1,000cc engine, GP0 from the Valencia test and the all new GP12) it is difficult to say.  The aluminum frame is clearly visible but is this a GP0 and thus essentially the same as a satellite bike or the new model the factory has pinned its hopes on?

UPDATE: Ducati’s Alex Briggs has confirmed that this bike isn’t the new GP12 but is in fact the bike used in Valencia for the 2011 post-season test.  This bike is being referred to as “GP0″ and represents the 2012 satellite Ducati machines.  The true GP12 will be revealed on Tuesday at Sepang, Malaysia as part of the MotoGP test.  Valentino Rossi has revealed the first pic of the new Ducati Desmosedici GP12.
