During the recent Ducati North America dealer meeting in Miami, Dealernews had the opportunity to chat with Ducati CEO, Gabriele Del Torchio. During the interview Del Torchio remarked that Ducati was essentially a premium manufacturer making toys for adults. No, not those ones!

Hot on the heels of the announcement of the details of the new Superquadro engine that will power the Ducati 1199 Panigale comes this video. For some reason the various Ducati executives speak only in Italian but the video is pretty! Ciao.

Ducati have revealed many of the details of the radical new powerplant termed the ‘Superquadro’ that will power its next generation Superbike the 1199 Panigale. The new engine is a tabula rasa masterpiece producing 195bhp at 10,750rpm. Check out the image gallery after the jump.

Newly crowned FIM Superstock champion, Davide Giugliano, provided the best opportunity so far for a closer look at the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale in Superbike spec as the Althea rider tested the new bike on track.
