Ducati 750F1 Lucky Replica

170811F1 15 thumb Ducati 750F1 Lucky ReplicaWe love the mid eighties Ducati 750F1 at Ducati News Today especially the limited models like the Laguna Seca. This 750F1 model is even more special, a replica of the factory bike that 1981 500GP World Champion Marco Lucchinelli raced.

Apart from looking the part complete with ’618′ number boards this bike is no cosmetic ‘tart up’. Owned, raced and developed by Jörg Laibacher for the last 22 years it both looks like and goes like Lucchinelli’s bike care of a host of fine details that mimic the original racer.

Also specified are an aluminum tank, Marvic 16 and 18” wheels, 41mm Malossi carbs and the unusual “Double System” rear shock that Lucchinellis bike used.

It is to be sold with a small selection of spares including the original headlamp, tail light and some other sprocket options The bike has German registration papers so it could easily be put back on the road (now wouldn’t that make a tasty weapon for the mountains). No matter what the intended use this is a very rare chance to own a beautiful bike with a fantastic history. It is available for sale for £15,000.

  1. Oh, that’s right. I completely forgot that Lucchinelli raced in World Superbike. But wouldn’t it have been an 851 by that time?

  2. @Dave, yes Lucky raced the first 851 winning a the first ever race at Donington in 1988. Before then though he raced the F1 based racers in various twin events before the Superbike championship existed
