Valentino Rossi’s First 100 GP Victories Video

800px Valentino Rossi vittoria 100 thumb Valentino Rossis First 100 GP Victories VideoAs part of the promotion for the new MotoGP movie ‘Fastest’, the film makers have posted a video showing the first 100 GP victories for racing sensation Valentino Rossi. Rossi goes from teenaged 125 racer in 1996 winning his first Grand Prix at Brno on a 125 to seasoned 9 time World Champion in 1 minute 24 seconds.

Rossi took 12 125cc victories on his way to the title in 1997 before joining the 250cc class. Vale won 14 races on the larger bike securing the title in his second attempt in 1999. He followed the same pattern on the 500′s taking a learning year and then winning in 2001 before winning 4 years straight in the 990cc MotoGP era with a switch from Honda to Yamaha machinery mid stream!

Rossi has now amassed 105 wins (79 in the premier class), second only to Giacomo Agostini’s 122. His last victory was almost a year ago at Sepang, Malaysia on the Yamaha M1. His much heralded switch to Ducati has yet to bear any victory fruit and it seems most unlikely to in 2011. If he finishes this season where he currently stands, in 6th place, then it will be his worst season since that very first one in 1996.
