Ducati 1199 to be known as SuperQuadro?
And as SuperQuadro you shall be known. Trademark filings by Ducati may have revealed the intended name for the new 2012 Ducati 1199 Superbike just as Diavel first appeared in a similar filing ahead of the launch of the Power Cruiser.
MCN is reporting that Ducati have filed for the SuperQuadro trademark translating as over-square and the Panigale trademark. Ducati motorcycles are manufactured in Borgo Panigale in Bologna. Both the trademarks could be applied for an entire motorcycle.
SuperQuadro is close to the Superquadrata title thought to be associated with the ultra short stroke V-twin. Internally the bike is known as the Xtreme but this was never intended for production despite the some of the chatter in the interwebs.
