Carlos Checa celebrated a double podium at the Automotodrom of Brno today; the Spanish rider achieved two very well deserved third place finishes at what is, for him and his 1198, one of the most difficult tracks on the SBK calendar. Despite the success his rivals Max Biaggi and Marco Melandri closed the points gap.

MotoGP points leader Casey Stoner fresh from dishing the dirt on his former employer had another ‘press friendly’ moment during this week’s Mugello test session. After an on track clash with Ducati mounted MotoGP rookie Karel Abraham which left marks on both machines, the pair took it to the pits with a heated exchange.
