Kill Me Fast Ducati
If thine eye offend thee, pluck it out. Whatever you think of the looks of Kristian von Hornsleth’s Ducati ‘Sculpture’ (It’s psychedelic baby) you can bet that Ducati’s legal department just love ‘Kill Me Fast’ emblazoned on its fastest Superbike line.
According to Hornsleth himself, the work was inspired by a conversation he had with a Ducati salesman. When he asked if it was dangerous to ride a bike (Duh) the sales guy apparently replied:-
“You don’t feel anything as you hit the wall with 320 Km/h”
Having gotten that insight from the ‘sales professional’ Hornsleth was inspired to produce this work apparently blending beauty, speed and death. Looking like something you’d see on a Suzuki Hayabusa with a lengthened swing-arm (am I giving away how I feel about this?) the resultant 10 Ducati 1098 and 1198 Sculptures are for sale along with posters of same. With Fathers’ Day for Ducatisti Dads coming up this could be just the thing!
