Celebrating International Female Ride Day
Today is the 5th annual International Female Ride Day, the day where women around the world are encouraged to get on their motorcycles and ride. Since we focus on all things Ducati, today we wanted to highlight Hannah Johnson, a woman who has reached the status of Ducati Master Technician in her role as service manager at Ducati Miami.
Hannah has achieved a lot in just 26 years. Growing up with motorcycles she’s raced them and managed to turn a passion into a career in her role as service manager at Ducati Miami. Just this March, she added Ducati Master Technician to her list of achievements which makes her one of just 39 in North America. Master Tech status is the highest of 3 levels of Ducati training. It covers suspension, Dynojet training, engine blueprinting and rebuilding and servicing for Ohlins suspension. Levels 1 and 2 cover more basic subjects like general Ducati maintenance, diagnostics, valve services and engine building. You have to be a top tech to be invited to train as a Master Tech.
“They don’t allow any bozo to go….For this level, you have to make sure that you’re a mechanic and you understand motorcycle mechanics,” notes Hannah

Hannah, herself, has built and owned several award-winning show bikes, which include a Ducati 848 and a customized Ducati 1098R.
International Female Ride Day was created in 2007 by Vicki Gray, the founder of MOTORESS. Just over a quarter of our readers at Ducati News Today are female so if you are one what are you waiting for! Put on your helmet and ride.
