Radical Ducati Creation Reminiscent of Yamaha
The moment I laid eyes on the re-discovered Radical Ducati Raceric, I startled googling to find an obscure mid 80′s Yamaha 2-stroke that I though it was the spitting image of. This is not by way of an insult, the Yamaha SDR200 was gorgeous and so too is the Raceric.
The 1987 Yamaha SDR200 was a liquid cooled, 2-stroke single mounted in a Ducati-esque trellis frame. Although it only produced 33bhp it also only weighed 115kg (253lb). It was primarily a Japanese market machine but some ended up in Western markets due to gray imports.
The Raceric, on the other hand started life as a Ducati Monster S4. Apparently, the owner of this custom ride really wanted to share the ride with his wife, so a biposto setup is shown (an earlier version had a solo saddle). We’re not sure how much power the S4 engine in the bike pumps out but it will be a lot more than 33!
