High Resolution Rossi Ducati GP12 Gallery
Ducati has got the marketing down pat even if the bike isn’t quite there yet, so much so that the test of their new 2012, 1,000cc era Desmosedici GP12 is not in matte black but in full colors. Rossi took to the track at Jerez today to ride the new bike for the first time. The most obvious difference is the much longer, side exit exhaust but the bike will no doubt inherit chassis changes directed at the GP11 model expected to debut at the official test following the Estoril MotoGP on May 1st.
Rossi seemed to enjoy his outing saying:
“I’m happy,” Valentino Rossi said after the test. “I like the GP12. In my opinion, it’s more enjoyable, more fun to ride. It was the first time we had it on the track, so we had some work to do, but the engine is nicer. It’s a lot of fun, and you can do some nice slides. It’s the bike we’ll ride next year, so it was very important—and also very nice—to be among the first to take it on the track.”
