Ducati Testastretta Flat Tracker
We first told you about Kurt Marmor’s Ducati 749 powered Flat Tracker in 2009. Back then the bike was being hurriedly prepared for the Springfield Mile. Typical teething troubles got in the way of a dream debut but Kurt is fired up for the 2011 season.
The bike features a Ducati 749 powerplant in a J&M Racing frame. Dale Lineaweaver put the bike together from just a motor and frame and Hall’s Cycles (where the Ducati News Today Monster S4RS came from) did the engine work for this season. Doug Canham of Canham Graphics did the graphics and paint job.
This year Kurt will be running in the AMA Grand National Championship Series (GNC) twins class. The first GNC race will be the Springfield Mile at his home track in Springfield IL over Memorial Day weekend. Kurt plans to enter some amateur races prior to then to get the bike dialed in.
“This year we are going to run as many races as we can with the budget we have. I’m still trying to find a title sponsor for the rest of the this season and for 2012. I believe the bike has the capability to be a top running bike – we just have to get all the pieces of the puzzle together and I believe we are close.”
Kurt’s sponsors for 2011 are:-
