Another Movie, Another Ducati

I am Number 4 opened in the USA last Friday making it the latest Hollywood production to feature a Ducati. This time an its an 848 Superbike.

Recent movies to feature Ducati motorcycles have included Knight & Day (Hypermotard), Wall Street 2 (Streetfighter S and Desmosedici RR), Tron Legacy (the now defunct Sport Classic) and Terminator Salvation (MotoTerminator).

In formulaic style a teenager called John Smith (Alex Pettyfer) is extraordinary, has extraordinary powers and everyone is against him. Oh to be a teen again!

John is an extraordinary teen, masking his true identity and passing as a typical high school student to elude a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him. Three like him have already been killed … he is Number Four.

This time the Ducati that was selected was the Ducati 848. It is used to reinforce the ‘badass from way back’ appeal of Australian actor Teresa Palmer who it turns out is Number 6. In keeping with her part she wears leather (obviously she is an ATGATT adherent). Ducati News Today hasn’t seen the movie, but if you have, let us know what you thought in the comments.
