World Superbike bound MotoGP refugee Marco Melandri, whose decline in the premier class of international road racing began with his switch to the Ducati Desmosedici in 2008, has spoken out to the Italian media claiming that he doubts Rossi will be able to tame the wild Ducati.

Ducati Bunberry in Australia have finished their turbocharged Ducati 749 based drag racer and it is looking good in final painted form! When it is fully developed Todd and Wayne Patterson hope it will run in the mid 8 second range at 170mph down the quarter mile!!

Trikes are clearly stuck in the middle. Neither motorcycles nor cars, depending on your perspective they incorporate the best or the worst features of both. The TreMoto Monstrosity on the other hand couples Ducati power with two front wheels that lean and a rear that slides around like a flat tracker. Sound intriguing?

We sat on this for a bit because frankly it seems just plainly ridiculous on its face. Nevertheless, British car magazine Autocar claims that insiders intend for AMG to eventually acquire Ducati after producing a range of AMG branded Ducati motorcycles as part of a “greening of the AMG brand”.

Cycle World magazine had the opportunity to test a bunch of flat trackers at the Arizona Mile including the Joe Kopp, Lloyd Brothers Ducati as ridden by Ducati’s own Nicky Hayden at the Indy Mile. The Ducati which is powered by a Hypermotard 1100EVO engine is first up in the video after the jump.
