Ferracci Racing Ducati 848EVO with Celtic Racing
Eraldo Ferraci, the famous Ducati tuner behind the World Superbike and AMA success of 2 time World Champion Doug Polen, will return to competition next season with P. J. Jacobsen, Celtic Racing and the new Ducati 848EVO.
Rumors had been circulating of a return for the Ducati legend and in 2011 he will join forces with Celtic Racing and the talented Jacobsen in the most exciting and competitive professional US road racing class of Daytona Sport Bike.
The 17 year old had a good season this year scoring 4th place in Virginia and being right up with the lead pack at the penultimate round in New Jersey.
“We’re delighted to have re-signed P.J. to ride the Ducati 848EVO with backing from Fast By Ferracci,” said team owner Barry Gilsenan. “We have the right rider, the new Ducati 848EVO, and Eraldo’s knowledge and passion for racing on our side.
Ferracci is famously associated with Ducati and the exploits of Doug Polen who took back to back championships in 1991 and 1992 in a dominating display on a Ducati 888 in the World Superbike Championship.
“I’m excited about this and I know we can have success,” said Eraldo Ferracci. “Barry has been my friend for a long time and he runs a very good team. I’ve seen P.J. race over the years and am impressed…I have worked with Ducatis for more than half my life and I know them well and believe in them,” he continued.

Ducati is looking for racing success in 2011 with the 848EVO which has upgrades over the older model focussed on improving its track performance with better brakes and more power. With Larry Pegram no longer racing Ducati, Ducati North America is pushing the 848 model hard announcing recently a support program for club racers that includes contingency payments.
