Feracci to Run Ducati Superbike Team?
Rumors emanating from Milan at the EICMA show claim that famous Ducati tuner, Eraldo Ferracci may be poised to return to racing and with the brand the made him and Doug Polen famous.
Apparently the talk is of Ferracci entering a Ducati Superbike in the DMG American Superbike class with ex-MotoGP, ex-World Superbike racer John Hopkins with dollars coming from Monster energy.
With Ducati pulling out of factory support at the World Superbike level and Ducati USA withdrawing support from Larry Pegram’s Team Foremost Ducati, it’s hard to see how this rumor makes any sense. Unless perhaps it is in fact Ducati going to try an all out attempt at the far more interesting Daytona Sportbike class now that Ducati has an even more competitive bike in the 848EVO.
Ferracci has remained a Ducati dealer since his split with the Ducati factory a decade ago.
