Ducati Red Becomes a Royal Color

Ducati 1198 SP thumb Ducati Red Becomes a Royal ColorDucati Red just became a royal color with the news that Prince William, second in line to the British throne has placed an order for a new 2011 Ducati 1198SP. No stranger to motorcycles or Ducatis. the Prince currently owns a black 1198S.

The Prince caused a stir last year when he turned up for Polo at the appropriately named Cosworth Park in Ascot on his Ducati 1198S resplendent in black and red leathers. The 27 year old, newly engaged future King is a keen motorcyclist who has been riding on the dirt since he was 8 and in 2008 took part in a charity rally with his brother Prince Harry in Africa.

So the Prince has got himself somewhat of a bargain!
