Nicky Hayden’s Number 69 Plate For Sale
Nicky Hayden fans have a rare chance to buy a piece of memorabilia. Hayden’s famous 69 plate is up for grabs as displayed on the Lloyd Brothers Motorsports / Pegram Racing Ducati flat track racer that Nicky did exhibition laps on at the 2010 Indy Mile race. Nicky returned to his flat track roots for just a few laps during the Indianapolis MotoGP weekend. Hayden borrowed Joe Kopp’s Hypermotard 1100EVO powered tracker that won Ducati’s first ever Grand National Flat Track victory earlier this year and thrilled the crowd looking like he had never been away as this video shows.
The framed plate is autographed by Nicky and all proceeds from this auction will go directly to the Flat Track Air Fence Fund. Air fence is used as a barrier of protection between the racing surface and the retaining walls that line many of the American dirt tracks. It is crucial to the added safety of American flat track racers.
As this is written the bid is up to $1,025 with 9 days to run. You can place your eBay bid here.
