Ducati Diavel Tastes the Gravel
Ducati’s Divael Performance Cruiser has been caught by the ducatirazzi once again and this time the bike is on its side after a collision with a car.
This isn’t exactly how Ducati would prefer the Ducatisti to become familiar with their new muscle cruiser slated for a global unveiling in Milan this November, but it serves as a harsh reminder that even expert test riders can ‘come a cropper’ as my Dad used to say. Apparently the test rider was knocked off by a car.
The Diavel name for the new model has only come to light in recent weeks. Diavel is Italian for Devil but is from the Bolognese dialect rather than the more usual Italian Diavolo. MCN reports that Diavel has been trademarked in a range of classes including apparel, clothing and watches.
Despite the Diavel having the same 150bhp testastretta 11ยบ engine as the Multistrada 1200, light weight will ensure the Diavel provides scintillating performance for the class.
