Ducati Reveals Brooding Black Ducati 848EVO at Laguna Seca
Ducati has revealed the new Ducati 848EVO for the first time at Laguna Seca, the site for this weekend’s US MotoGP. The all black Dark model has a black frame, swingarm and engine cases and is the bargain of the Superbike range.
The Ducati 848EVO features a redesigned top end with all new cylinder heads, pistons, throttle bodies and camshafts combine for 6 more ponies for a total of 140hp @ 10,500rpm and 72.3 lb/ft of torque @9,750rpm.
A cross-mounted steering damper and standard fitment of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires improves the chassis whilst the specification of Brembo Monoblov calipers for the first time ensures stopping won’t be a problem.
The price of the Dark model is $12,995, $1,000 less than the mechanically identical Red version.
