Chill People: Rossi says No Decision on Future until after Brno
Finally we have some news from the horses mouth! MotoGP World Champion, Valentino Rossi, says it is too early to announce his decision on whom he will race for in 2011 until after the racing at Brno.
If you follow motorcycle racing, it seems the only thing worth talking about at the moment is Valentino Rossi. When he is going to return from his Mugello practice injury? The answer is this weekend’s German GP at Sachsenring. Next question. Who is he going to race for in 2011? The smart money says Ducati as this site has long argued and his teammate, Jorge Lorenzo agrees, but despite everyone going loco (in particular the Spanish and Italian press) we have been left to speculate and postulate on endless rumors. The latest one was ‘at the Laguna Seca US GP‘.
Wrong says the aspiring G.O.A.T himself. During a pre-event press conference with the media today Rossi made clear that it is too early yet for him to announce his future plans.
“I think now for me, it’s too early,” the Fiat Yamaha rider told the press conference. Any news would come much later in the year, he said: “I think it’s possible to say what’s happening for me in 2011 after the Brno race.”

So there you have it. The actual Rossi news this week is to be confined to his frankly miraculous return to racing just 42 days after a compound fracture of his tibia. Vale now has 3 races to get back to full health and speed before we potentially hear the biggest racing news for Ducati since Paul Smart decided to ride some obscure Italian twin in Imola!
The Brno round of the MotoGP series will be held on August 15th.
