Every week I will post up something beautiful from the world of Ducati that you just might like to have grace your desktop. This week we have the newly released 2010 Ducati Monster 796.

The new Monster is perhaps the most style for the Ducati dollar available today. Unlike the baby Monster 696, the specification is far from bargain basement. The Monster 796’s air-cooled engine produces 87hp and 56lb/ft of torque, which is plenty enough to propel this svelte 367lb bike. Borrowing from its 1100cc sibling, the Monster 796 features a single sided swingarm and four piston Brembo brakes. These features combine with an APTC slipper clutch, blackened foot rests, and new five spoke wheels to make the ultimate middleweight Monster.

Monster’s are some of the nicest Ducatis to ride with smooth air-cooled engines and very nimble and manageable handling with a healthy dose of modern style. All this for just $9,995? Where do I sign! Oh and it looks best in black don’t you agree?
