		<description>Seems odd to me. If the part broke in race 1 I imagine it must have been replaced with a new one. For it to brake again in race 2 seems like lightnig striking twice at the same place.</description>

		<description>Thanks for the insight. I agree it seems likely the same thing happened in race 2 but the team were too embarrassed to say so!  I used to race an FZR400 btw</description>

		<description>Checa certainly had a huge lead in race 1.  All of the reports I&#039;ve read say &#039;3 seconds&#039; but it was a lot more than that, probably 6 or 7 seconds by my &quot;one one-thousand, two one-thousand, etc.&quot; count as they came past me.

FWIW, the word we got at the Ducati tent from someone with Ducati NA was that the &#039;throttle motor in the fly by wire system refused to respond&#039;, not that a wire itself broke.  I&#039;d almost bet the same thing happened in race 2.</description>
