Accessories Announced as Ducati Multistrada 1200

174 thumb Accessories Announced as Ducati Multistrada 1200As lucky owners are taking delivery of their new Ducati Multistrada 1200′s, aftermarket accessories manufacturers are racing to release products for the new model that Ducati claims is 4 bikes in 1. One of the first out of the blocks is R&G Racing, the world’s number one manufacturer of motorcycle crash protection, which has announced a full range of products for the new Ducati Multistrada 1200.

The R&G Tail Tidy and range of bolt-on crash protection products cover the multi-purpose Italian machine from end-to-end without spoiling the distinctive styling.

Leading the way are the Aero Crash Protectors, awarded the 2009 British Dealer News ‘Best aftermarket product’, constructed from high-density Polyethylene (HDPE) and designed to wear and not shatter. R&G also utilises a particular grade of steel for its bolts that help absorb an impact by bending, rather than snapping or twisting the mounting point.

Using this same construction method, further Mutistrada 1200 defence options include Bar End Sliders to help guard the fuel tank; Fork Protectors for the upside down suspension and rear Swingarm Protectors for the evocative single-sided swingarm and wheel.

The adventure bike also has a robust Engine Case Slider option to shield the left side of the new Testastretta twin-cylinder motor and the Radiator Guard will help deflect any stones or debris that could potentially pierce the bike’s cooling system.

172 thumb Accessories Announced as Ducati Multistrada 1200Protection aside, the R&G Tail Tidy, which is currently not compatible with the official Ducati side cases, replaces the original license plate holder to focus the styling of the seat unit as the designers originally intended.
