Wallpaper Wednesday: Ducati ST4S
Welcome to Wallpaper Wednesday. Every week I will post up something beautiful from the world of Ducati that you just might like to have grace your desktop. This week we have the 2005 Ducati ST4S
After the disappointment of the Paso models, Ducati must have been reluctant to try again with a sport touring machine outside of their sporting core competency. However this was the period of TPG ownership and they wanted to broaden the appeal of Ducati. Miguel Galluzzi of Monster and now Aprilia RSV4 fame styled the machine and it was pretty good looking for a sport touring machine. Typically it was much more sporting than most sports touring machines with firmer suspension and a more sporting riding position. The ST range started with the 2-valve ST2, moved to the four valve ST4 and then went, bizarrely, 3-valve with the ST3 range. The S model featured Ohlins suspension. The range has a loyal following and many ST riders are eyeing the new Ducati Multistrada 1200 with interest.
