Ducati Motorcycles of Atlanta were lucky to nab the only Ducati Multistrada 1200 in the USA for just a day, so Ducati News Today shot out to capture photos and video. Visual impressions and photogallery after the jump.

In the flesh the new Multi looks more attractive than in photos, especially in black where the beak blends into the overall styling. This bike is an S ‘Sport’ model with various pieces of carbon fiber in lieu of luggage, heated grips and a center stand. Physically it is quite compact, not feeling or looking all that large. The riding position is very comfortable, very upright for a Ducati and the plush Ohlins suspension settles noticeably. I’m tall at 6’3″ but I could place my feet solidly on the ground even though the bike was on a rear stand.

As someone who doubted the styling of this machine, I am much more comfortable with it after gazing upon it with my own eyes. It is still no oil painting but it has a certain je ne sais quoi presence that is not at all unattractive. Roll on the April / May launch so we can get ride one.
