Ducatis are motorcycles that stir the soul. Sometimes it can be hard to pin down exactly what it is that makes these machines so special, but ducatisti know it when they come across it. For me just the other day it was the bone shaking thunder of my termignoni equipped Monster S4Rs springing to life after a month in the cold. For others it is slowly and painstakingly re-building the ultimate Tamburini designed Ducati, the limited edition 998R. I was so moved I made a video from the pictures and put it to music.
When you rebuild something you make it better so this 998R has a Pierobon 998RS Chrome Moly frame, a hand made aluminum 23 liter tank and a genuine magnesium World Superbike swingarm. It truly is a beautiful build!
