PA697760 thumb Haga Lucky to Escape Serious Injury after Tangling with XausUnlucky Team Xerox Ducati rider, Noriyuki Haga, had a dent put in his chances before opening his 2010 World Superbike campaign for Xerox Ducati in Phillip Island, Australia when BMW rider Ruben Xaus took him and his Ducati 1198R out at the very fast Turn 1 during morning warm-up.

Ducati engineers were able to rebuild the bike before the first World Superbike race, but Haga needed a pain killing injection in his arm to ride. After 4 crashes this weekend, Ruben Xaus did not take part in either race. Various rumors were circulating the paddock but it was unclear whether it was due to a lack of confidence or of spare parts!
