A very rare 1992 Ducati 888SP4 has come up for sale in the USA. The SP range of Ducati Superbikes were the closest you could get to a Superbike on the road at the time featuring specifications close to the factory racers.
The SP range was never officially imported into the USA (instead a US specific model the SPO was sold which was really only a mildly warmed over Strada model). The SP4 featured around 111bhp at the rear wheel and had Ohlins suspension, Brembo Gold series brakes and carbon fiber Termignoni silencers. Only 500 were produced.
