Welcome to Wallpaper Wednesday. Every week I will post up something beautiful from the world of Ducati that you just might like to have grace your desktop. This week we have one of the Ducati single cylinder machines, the 1974 Ducati 450 Mark 3.
Long before Ducati became famous for it’s V-twins, Ducati was known for making beautiful single cylinder machines. This 1974 Ducati 450 Mark 3 is a valve spring model (there was also a Desmo model made) and quite rare as Ducati only made 613 examples. This model produced about 27bhp and covered the standing 1/4 mile in 16.60 seconds. Sure it is no ball of fire performance wise but promises handling of a kind most modern riders have never experienced with it’s dry weight of just 299lb (136kg).
