What does Team Foremost Ducati’s Larry Pegram do when he isn’t winning AMA American Superbike races? He hustles a very trick Ducati Flat Tracker around the 1/2 miles. Amazingly the bike started off as a Ducati Sportclassic even competing with the original frame for a time. The bike is featured in the latest issue of Sideburn magazine.
The bike features a 2-valve Sportclassic engine that is bored out to 1078cc with a Nemesis ECU and K&N filters. Yamaha YZF600 forks are bolted to a custom frame fitted with 7 spoke PM wheels.
Pegram raced the bike at Springfield with a stock frame but switched to the custom frame for Indianapolis where he narrowly missed the final. He is hoping to put together enough support to compete next year with a full-time rider.
