Ahead of it’s official unveiling at the Milan EICMA show next week, at least one site is claiming to have inside information on the final specifications of the new Ducati Multistrada 1200 Adventure tourer. If the information is accurate, Ducati will be giving us a 150bhp allrounder that will showcase the Italian manufacturers electronics prowess via ride by wire throttle and switchable ignition maps and suspension setting on the fly.
Although the veracity is unknown (some of the details that are portrayed as news are in fact already known) the Motorcycle.com claims make for interesting reading.
- Testastretta 11 degrees engine featuring a new valve angle in the cylinder heads to aid combustion
- A ride by wire thottle offering improved sub 3,000rpm fuelling
- Switchable power maps that range from 100 to the full 150bhp
- Optional ABS
- Electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension on the S model
All will be revealed in just a few days but the speculation machine is now in full effect!

Sounds like some great features to me. Definitely interested to hear more about the fly by wire throttle and the electronic suspension.
Last year at EICMA Ohlins had some pretty cool electronically adjustable shocks on display… I wonder if that is the technology they are using. I believe the shocks they had there were from GPs?
Yes Anthony, if only it looked better!!
