I saw a supermono for the first time about a year ago. detune it for new young riders. I almost bought a 1000ss wished I had. I agree they need to refill that super sport gap. my greatest wish is that they make a touring version of the hypermotard. Combine the current multistrada and hyper like KTM did. Then you have a choice of the current hyper or a larger fuel tank windshield commuter version or the new 1200 multi.

How about the ingredients of my perfect Ducati:
1. a roundish headlight
2. a fairing that doesn’t hide the motor
3. ergos in between the ’92 & ’99 Supersport
4. sub 380lb wet with no fuel

AFAIK the small airbox is mandated by the wsbk rule, not because of technical limitation.
