Stunting a Ducati Desmosedici

Dave desmo wheelie thumb3 Stunting a Ducati Desmosedici
From the ‘It had to happen files’ comes this shot of a Ducati Desmosedici being stunted in a vertical wheelie. You would think that some people would stick to a Honda Fireblade with super low gearing and a smashed in tank, but alas this torture was inflicted on a $72,000 super exotic MotoGP replica which is essentially a road legal version of the last Ducati 990 cc MotoGP racer which won it’s last race at the hands of 3 time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss. Sacrilege or Fully Sick? What do you think? Chime in with your views in the comments section below.

  1. Yeah, that ain’t right. But, it’s still completely badass (until it hits the ground rubber side up).

  2. Sacrilege. :-( But it’s not my bike, so… *shrugs*

  3. Perhaps Ducati should sell the DD like Ferrari does it’s Enzo; “Don’t call us, we’ll call you”. It’s a privilege instead being of available to anyone.

  6. Let’s not be to precious.
Yes, it is a limited edition history making motorcycle, but at the end of the day it’s a motorcycle. That said,I wouldn’t try it at home, but then I don’t treat any of my bikes, Ducati or otherwise, like that.

  7. Uh… I wouldn’t do it simply because I’m not a proficient enough rider to do it safely. If I were, on the other hand… :-)
