Ducatis at Barber Motorsports Museum

IMG 2 thumb Ducatis at Barber Motorsports MuseumIf you haven’t visited the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum you really owe to yourself as a motorcycle fan. The collection now numbers some 1,200 motorcycles and has many delights for the Ducati fan.

The museum is situated on the grounds of Barber Motorsports park in Birmingham, Alabama and is considered the largest motorcycle museum in the world spread out over 5 stories. For Ducati fans you can gaze at the beautiful Ducati 750SS as well as the bike it inspired the modern Paul Smart LE. My favorite is the simply gorgeous Ducati Supermono, designed Pierre Terblanche the much maligned designer of the ill-fated 999. Another favorite is a Ducati 900 Racer as used by Mike Hailwood. And another favorite, well you get the idea!

The museum also has some fabulous other motorcycles such as the Bimota Tesi and V-Due, Honda RC30 and NR750 as well as such exotica as the Britten V1000 superbike. I urge you to go visit the museum as soon as you can, in the mean time you can check out the gallery below from my visits.
