Reports are suggesting that DFX Ducati Superbike rider Régis Laconi will retire following his crash during practice for the Kyalami round of the World Superbike Championship during which he fractured several cevical vertebrae. Ducati North America has confirmed the rumors and announced the newest addition to its model range, the 848 Nicky Hayden Special Edition. The special edition 848 will be unveiled tomorrow, July 4th, at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
