picture 2 thumb Web Gems: RumbleStripRadio.comI love Podcasts. My Ipods are always brimming with audio content from University lectures, various Tech podcasts to a smattering of pop science. There are precious few Podcasts devoted to Motorcycling and specifically motorcycle racing, so I was looking forward to checking out RumbleStripRadio when I stumbled upon it. I wasn’t disappointed and the only surprise was how good it is.

RumbleStripRadio is the creation of Eric Trytko, AKA “The Duke”. His passion for motorcycle racing is obvious after just minutes of listening. Luckily the passion is combined with knowledge and real ability since Eric’s day job is as an On Air and Voice Over Talent which lends his work a high quality feel which is still atypical in the podcast genre.

The format follows a predictable pattern of covering AMA, World Superbike and MotoGP racing news along with some of the paddock gossip thrown in for good measure. Special guests are often a feature which keeps the content fresh and entertaining. The most recent episode included an interview the editor of Road Racer X magazine. Created in 2005, it took me 4 years to discover RumbleStripRadio but you shouldn’t wait that long.

You can listen to the Podcast on the site, download it or do what I did and subscribe to RumbleStripRadio on iTunes. Like all good social media aficionados you can also follow him on Twitter via @rumblestrip. If your tastes include cars as well as bikes check out his companion site RumbleStrip.net.
