Smrz Snuffs Out Spies Streak
It was a Ducati that stopped Ben Spies qualifying record at 7 in a row but not the one belonging to Michel Fabrizio. Perennial strong qualifier but poor finisher Jacob Smrz put his Ducati on pole whilst Jonathan Rea denied Spies of even the second spot on the grid.
Spies was third fastest whilst Fabrizio rounds out the front row in 4th. Championship leader, Noriyuki Haga will start on the second row tomorrow in 6th. Wild card rider, Jamie Hacking, will take off from the line in 20th place.
