Motorcyclenews appears to be about to confirm the rumor that Ducati will enter the Power Cruiser market with a 1,400cc testastretta powered machine called the Vyper after posting a teaser on their website today which was rapidly removed.
The post which is reproduced below was quickly taken down and the original link now leads to a login screen, however remnants survive on the web including on the magazines Facebook fan page. The tiny obscured picture of the cover shows a clay model mockup of a bike without a full fairing.

The story may relate to the Ducati Vyper rumor which has been circulating for some time and first broken by Motociclismo and triangulated by ducatinewstoday to comments made by the Australian Ducati importer which specifically referenced a power cruiser concept. Ducati also denied the existence of the Streetfighter until recently and the Vyper could be based on the Streetfighter chassis which offers a longer wheelbase than the superbike model range.
Whether the rapid takedown of the post is related to any action on the part of Ducati is not known. The new issue is due out in the UK on June 3rd.
