Stoner 2nd, Hayden 15th in MotoGP Le Mans Practice
A rain affected first practice session for this weekends 4th round of the MotoGP World Championship saw Marlboro Ducati rider Casey Stoner finish 2nd fastest behind Repsol Honda’s Andrea Dovizioso. Nicky Hayden continues to struggle in the early running with the 15th fastest time.
Anrea Dovizioso was able to make the most of the changeable conditions in the first run on the Le Mans circuit ahead of Stoner and local Randy de Puniet.
The second quickest rider in the curtailed practice was Australian former World Champion Casey Stoner (Ducati Marlboro) with a time of 1’36.194 on the eighth of just ten laps, whilst in-form home rider Randy de Puniet was just behind the front two.

Nicky Hayden continues to struggle on the Ducati posting a time slower than all other Ducati runners save for rookie Niccolo Canepa. Series leader Valentino Rossi was 6th fastest just ahead of teammate and rival Jorge Lorenzo.
