Ducati Announce 1098/1198 Special Financing
Ducati North America has announced a special financing campaign in the USA for Ducati Superbike machines. The program runs from April 1st till June 30th, 2009 and all new, previously untitled 1198/1198S and 1098/1098S models are eligible.
Unlike the Monster and 848 special financing deal announced last month which featured Nicky Hayden, this campaign feautures reigning World Superbike bike champion, Troy Bayliss noting that the 1198S in stock form is capable (in the right hands) of lapping at World Superstock lap record pace.

After winning the World Superbike Championship aboard the 1098 R during its first year in production, Troy Bayliss climbed on an 1198 S in stock trim at the press launch in Portimao, Spain and bested the 2008 World Superstock racing lap record. Now you can own the most advanced piece of Superbike technology in the world with rates as low as 3.99%* on the 1098 and 1198 and 4.99%* on the 1098 S and 1198 S.

The promotion runs from April 1st through June 30th. Ducati’s headline financing rates range from 3.99%. Strangely it is not the now obsolete 1098/1098S models that are subject to the most attractive rate, with the 3.99% rate available for the 1098 and 1198 and a higher 4.99% rate for both S models. Note the headline rate is only for the first 36 months, financing then reverts to the regular APR of 7.99% on the remaining balance.
If you follow Ducati’s example of financing a 1198 for 72 months, you will pay $257.9 for the first 36 months and then $273.83 for the following 36 months. At that point Ducati will probably be selling the 1498!!
