Most beautiful things look even better naked, which is why it is no surprise the naked segment is so popular in Europe. Harley Davidson initially released its sportiest bike yet (everything’s relative), the XR1200, only in Europe but now a limited number are available in the USA. It has the looks, it even has a pretty good, modded sportser motor but is hampered by excessive weight and wheelbase.
Ducati’s new Monster 1100 showed it a clean pair of heels in the motorcycle.com comparo but there is still something undeniably attractive about that Harley. Excuse me while I go and wash my mouth out.
Americans and Italians speak different languages, and this carries over to the design languages of motorcycle manufacturers. Ducati’s rich sporting heritage is evident in the Monster 1100’s more exuberant personality. Its lighter weight, shorter wheelbase and revvier motor give it an edge in strict performance terms.

The Harley may look alright (for a harley) but man that new monster is one pretty bike – if I hadn’t spent so much $$ on my street triple I reckon that monster would be sitting in my garage!
Nice website by the way!
The Street Triple is a pretty nice bike. Hard to go past it for the price
